Beethoven's Triple
1:20:06
A brilliant pairing of Beethovenian genius with a symphony by Louis Farrenc, an acclaimed composer in her time, conducted by Laurence Equilbey. The Beethoven of his Triple Concerto is not one concerned with fate, struggle in triumph, but a virtuosic, melodious, and humorous work. Although written for a French market for commercial reasons, the Triple Concerto is still a work full of surprise and delight. Although the Parisian composer Louise Farrenc may not be a well-known name, her music stands the test of time. Lauded in her time by her contemporaries and connoisseurs, her Third Symphony is a rich and melodious Romantic work. FEATURING Laurence Equilbey, conductor Alexandra Conunova, violin Natalie Clein, cello David Kadouch, piano Insula Orchestra PROGRAM BEETHOVEN Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano FARRENC Symphony No.3
