The MSO and some of Melbourne’s finest Chinese-Australian musical talent come together for a special celebration of the Year of the Ox. A unique blend of music from eastern and western masters, this program brings together Beethoven and Chopin with China’s leading contemporary composers. Conducted by Principal Conductor in Residence Benjamin Northey, accomplished Chinese Australian pianist Angela Li returns following her recital with Artistic Ambassador Lu Siqing, alongside pipa soloist Yang Ying, who has toured Asia and Europe to acclaim with the China National Traditional Orchestra.
