Seamlessly bending jazz, African-American spirituals, and Basque tunes into his own vibrant orchestrations, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G is devilishly charming work. This decadently rich and indulgently colourful music is brought to life by leading Australian pianist, Timothy Young. An all-star lineup of Australian jazz talent combines with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to deliver something truly special.
