The MSO’s tenth annual Chinese New Year concert celebrated the Year of the Rabbit and presented ‘a wonderful evening of cultural exchange’ (Classic Melbourne). This week's MSO.LIVE release features the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra’s Artistic Director Darrell Ang conducting the MSO with the extraordinary Sichuan-born soprano Meigui Zhang in a stunning performance of Ding Shande's Four Chinese Folksongs. The MSO’s Chinese New Year concert is supported by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, and the Li Family Trust. Presented in collaboration with Arts Centre Melbourne.
