Recorded at The Barbican, London in April 2023, London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Stockhammer delivered a “programme of sustained orchestral brilliance” (seenandheard). The selection of twentieth-century classics included Adams’ Harmonielehre, Debussy’s ode to the sea La mer and Ravel’s luscious Daphnis and Chloé Suite No 2. Opera and Classical Music Reviews said the evening “allowed all sections of the LSO to shine.” The hugely popular program subsequently played to sold out concert halls in Australia the following month under the baton of the revered Sir Simon Rattle.
